your cozy corner

I wanted to make a chandelier for my lil brother. He is my cousin and comes home twice or thrice in a month. Whenever he comes he shows this great enthusiasm seeing the DIY craft work I do. He points out with his teeny-weeney fingers the crafts hanging in my room as if he wants them. This is how it looked like.

I took tutorials from a very good site known as http://www.origami-instructions.com/. This site gives origami instructions for each and every origami. Origami is an art form originated in Japan. It is mere folding of paper. It does not include glue or cuts. It is an intelligent form an art which is known to increase sharpness in humans. It has very well known benefits like increased mental fitness, decrease in depression and stress. Also it helps decrease anxiety. It can boost someones low self esteem. It is an essential craft for young children all over the world. It is more like a puzzle. Every fold is a link to other and without the use of scale a perfect fold is achieved. Learn this art, it will be a friend for life. Just remember that all you need is a square paper. Here are some of my creations. I was overwhelmed and very happy after seeing the result.           

Saw vids on Youtube and tutorilas for making a Chinese new year lamp. Here they are..... I used a waste paper which i colored with water color and had a pattern on them. I used waste magazine papers and colored them red with acrylic color.  oops!!! The staples and can be seen. Since this was an experimental project I did not decorate much.  

The hanger for my earrings... This is how i started... I used one of the embroidery rings.. Wrapped it with black ribbon.. and weaved the inside with blue woolen string like they do it in the dreamcatcher... Tied a loop to hang it...

I love lights. Specially the ones we decorate in Diwali. M boring room had to be updated. So... Thank you !!!!

Fan of best out of waste???? Just cut those useless tissue paper rolls in desired shape, color them and create this.......

Best out of waste I collected a lot of waste boxes because I had this idea in mind. I cut those in desired shapes and made a shelf/rack kind of a design, which now looks like this........... It was a long process, but it started like this....

A card made for my friend. He is a fan of Johny Depp and Dark night Joker. A customized card which looks like this from outside.... and looks like this from inside....... With a few additions like these.... this card looked crazy and colorful.... This Joker is no art work of mine..it is a print out..i just used it ;) Try customizing a card like this for your beloved. ************************************************************************************************* ************ **** Here is another birthday card..check out ******************************** ******************** ******* A gift for my sis. Her nickname is Frosty.  Presenting a frosty gift.... 3D landscape- snowy frosty mountains!!!!!! I used a scrap box of liqour bottle. I also put LED lights behind. Will come up with the pic soon. We all need some extra decoratives to change the look of our rooms. Check out exciting and easy to do DIY. This is an upcycle DIY project. Try with some waste pringles cans, magazine papers and a few transparent strings. Loved doing this. :D There is another thing which you can make. A rocket! These four pointed flowers/fans look great when made with different colors. Light up your boring walls with these. With just few strips of paper you can make these tiny colorful balls to add a chic look to your room. The star looks like a diwali decoration but it adds a look on any day. Easy to make and it was fun to make it with my own hands. I used waste magazine papers to make this. Oh! these cones are the easiest to make and they suit every corner and every room. With waste magazine paper and crepe paper(the frills) I made this cute and easy DIY item. ;) Want to know how to make these? Comment. Ill revert back.
