I am OK. Not really!

I did ok, I went for trekking, exhausted halfway, I did ok. I made pancakes, burnt half of them, I did ok. I arranged a party, half turned up, I did ok. I painted a peacock, colored it yellow, I did ok. I called grandmom, forgot her birthday, I did less than ok. I finished my meal, threw the salad, I did less than ok. I bought a purse, lost it in one day, I did less than ok. I went to Rome, did not see Michelangelo, I did less than ok. All my life, i settled around 'ok', I did less than ok. I think, I never tried for the best, I always settled for ok. Maybe, what appeared best, was actually only ok. Maybe the word 'ok' is so toxic, that it made me adjust 'ok'. Or maybe I am just another, one of the millions modern world's slaves of 'ok'.

When you called a lot and we talked a lot, I talked a lot and I called a lot. When you discussed a lot and shared a lot, I discussed with you and shared a lot. When you reduced the calls, I complained a lot. When you reduced sweet talk, I fought a lot. When you complained back that I complain a lot, I reduced the calls and I stopped sweet talk. When you imposed a lot and ridiculed my thoughts, I tried to explain and I cried a lot. When you found faults in me and said, reduce your weight, you are too fat, tie your hair, does not look good, close your mouth, your teeth look too big, give a break to your dream, think practical, I took a backseat and ended the chat. When I asked what do you like in me, I believe there is a little left to like in me. I should put a lock on my flow of thoughts, for it may give rise to fights. I should close the lid of the jar full of butterflies, because when I open it at least one dies.

What if I was a Homosexual?

Human behavior is an ocean where there is a scope of new explorations every now and then. There are such unfathomable concepts that they force us to rethink about our perceptions about the world. In the advanced world of science and technology where every phenomenon is given a scientific reason and all the existence has a history known. I ponder that do we actually know everything? If we talk about philosophy and human emotions, we have well defined human expressions where some of them are called grief, happiness, sadness etc but still some people in our own families are difficult to understand. We say that being under a good government makes country prosperous. But according to the evidence given by great prosperous countries good government makes sure that people follow rules. When we say rules, we should understand that we are the Brahma and Shiva of them. It is the people who have the power to make and break rules. These rules are temporary and last for only the time that we wa...

Interpreting Dreams!

There are dreams that we see while asleep and the ones we think of when wide awake. The world of dreams is mysterious. Showing us pictures which are unusual or psychedelic, or they are expansion of a thought or an incident. Sometimes dreams seem so real that we tend to shout, quake, cry or get confused in reality. Such dreams end when we wake up. We often forget what our dream was, but remember a hazy, most striking scene on it. Sometimes we remember the whole dream as if we have just finished watching a Full HD movie. Dreams can be funny and bewildering at the same time. They wake you up from a virtual reality to reality. I commit the deadliest mistakes of my life in my dreams. And wake up to realized that it was just a dream. I believe I worry too much and thus my mind rewinds and replays the 'what-ifs' and 'what-nots'. I had a dream last night that I am in a train going with my friends to some place. We get down the train and suddenly we are at a wildlife jungle. ...

Had vs Have

winds had drifted me everywhere they wanted, water had tested my resilience. I have boarded the plane and mounted the boat, to steer the dark clouds and stay afloat. *********************************************** cries had petrified me drifting my mind, wounds had tested my strength. I have been positive and used Dettol, to wash those tears, leaving no scars at all. *********************************************** enemies had threatened my intentions, friends had forgotten me. I have been expecting less and giving more, to clear the road ahead, keeping my dreams secure. *********************************************** selfishness had crept over me like a snake, hunger had hung over me like a virus. I have been a lil complacent and moaned less, to better my tomorrow trying to fill in happiness. ***********************************************

Why I don't like Honey Singh anymore

The Anupama Chopra show 'The Front Row' must have been watched by lakhs of teenagers. It was Honey Singh's first interview out in the open on national TV. I watched it with eager eyes. He seemed humble, was well dressed and did not behave like a good-boy-gone-bad-star. I felt like I should attend his upcoming concert in my city in my ex-college. Thats when I misjudged a 'star' for a 'performer'. He is a talented star but not a performer. It was 'Alegria' my ex-college cultural fest. Without a second thought all of my friends from college agreed to come to 'Yo Yo Honey Singh' concert. We entered the ground and it was a hell of a crowd. We had anticipated that much crowd and were ready to be sandwiched between crazy fans for Yo Yo. After all 'Blue eyes' had rocked everybody's music player since a month or so. 'Party all night' had given us a party feeling even when at home or work. His lyrics were easy and fun to learn, t...
